Star Ocean: First Departure R - Specialties


Specialties are learned through getting (learning) certain skills. Level of specialty depends of the level of skills needed for that specialty. Here is the list of all specialties:

Super Specialties

To get Super Specialties, everyone in your party must have the Specialties needed for that certain super speciality. Even after you learn one, replacing a party member will not effect you having that super speciality.

Blacksmith
Description: "A super specialty where everyone works together to craft armor from various precious metals."
Specialties needed: Customization and Alchemy
Skills needed: Eye for Detail, Smithing, Aesthetic Design (Customization) and Technology, Mineralogy, Faeriology (Alchemy)
What it does: Uses Smith's Hammer. Uses various minerals to create Armor.

Contraband
Description: "A super specialty where everyone conspires to create items that aren't quite legit. Will crime pay in the end?"
Specialties needed: Pickpocketing and Replication
Skills needed: Poker Face, Courage (Pickpocketing) and Imitation (Replication)
What it does: Uses Premium Paper. Creates illegal items (like Forged Metals). This lowers everyone's Affection Level toward RODDICK.

Enlightenment
Description: "A super specialty where everyone makes a few sacrifices to earn more skill points per level."
Specialties needed: Train and Survival
Skills needed: Effort, Determination, Resilience (Train) and Herbology, Resilience (Survival)
What it does: Lowers your stats in battle to give you more skill points you gain per level up

Group Appraising
Description: "A super specialty where everyone works together to determine the correct vaule of an object."
Specialties needed: Appraising and Crafting
Skills needed: Item Knowledge, Mineralogy, Herbology (Appraising) and Mineralogy, Eye for Detail, Aesthetics (Crafting)
What it does: Uses a spectacles. Lowers or Raises the prices of shops. Only once per spectacle.

Master Chef
Description: "A super specialty where everyone works together to cook up luxurious food and drinks."
Specialties needed: Cooking and Compounding
Skills needed: Knife, Recipe, Keen Eye (Cooking) and Biology, Herbology, Mental Science (Compounding)
What it does: Combines two food items to create better food.

Orchestra
Description: "A super specialty where everyone plays their instruments together in an orchestral performance led by a conductor's baton."
Specialties needed: Music and Art
Skills needed: Performance, Music Knowledge (Music) and Sketching, Aesthetics (Art)
What it does: Uses Conductor's Baton. When used it raises all Item Creation success to 95%

Publication
Description: "A super specialty where everyone contributes to an amazing book that they can all be proud about publishing."
Specialties needed: Writing and Machinist
Skills needed: Penmenship (Writing) and Machinery, Operation (Machinist)
What it does: Uses Fountain Pen. Each of you character creates their own books. (When used it resets the Affection Level to 8, no matter what AL currently is)
