News | Wanna play, might play - October 2021
by Foggy, 30-09-2021 , edited by Foggy, 04-12-2021
This month will bring some interesting titles, but for me, I'm more into Alan Wake (again), and probably Demon Slayer. Fatal Frame is also on my list, but this remaster being one of the worst there is in the franchize is not reassuring in my books. Let's see where the gaming takes us this month.
Alan Wake Remastered
Release date: 5.10.2021 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC
I enjoyed my time with the original game on Xbox360, so why not doing that again in few days? This is how Control and other games got their inspiration, and for sure, Alan is what you need to experience in your life.
Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania
Release date: 5.10.2021 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC
Did you know that head cheff of Yakuza series made Super Monkey Ball? Yep. And it's fun as hell (or so they say). I personaly never played it, but maybe I will try it out at least.
Far Cry 6
Release date: 7.10.2021 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Stadia, PC, Mac
I don't think I need to explain this one. Ubisoft made sure to throw so many trailers into our face, and considering last Far Cry was well-received, maybe this one will even be better. It's not my cup of tea, but let's have it on the list.
Metroid Dread
Release date: 8.10.2021 on Switch
I do miss the Metroid universe, and I will maybe try this side-scroller on my Switch. I'm a huge Castleavania fan, and Metroid main games are briliant games. With that being said, all was said.
Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles
Release date: 15.10.2021 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC
If you remember the full title and write it correctly, good job! Demon Slayer is also a anime TV Show, but I've never watched it. It looks promising as a game, plus those anime-ish characters and graphics are just my weak point.
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy
Release date: 26.10.2021 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC
Hard pass, but I believe there are fans out there. I dislike all Square published from Marvel, it's just not good from my standpoint.
Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water
Release date: 28.10.2021 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC
Fatal Frame 2 is the most horror game of them all (next to Forbidden Siren). I had so much troubles playing those games, after few hours I was on the edge when it comes to sanity. It's just real horror man. This title is not the best from the series, but I think it will be worthy of my time on my PS5. Camera Obscura versus the ghost - what can go wrong?
Riders Republic
Release date: 28.10.2021 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Stadia, PC
Another Ubisoft "hitter" is almost out, and it looks fun. Not fun for me, but for many players out there for sure. Choose your ride, and ride the game.

So, I ended up playing Alan Wake and Project Zero. Riders Republic didn't impress me much, and Metroid is still in the backlog...
