Lost Judgment - Side Cases Mission Guide

There are 42 Side Missions in Lost Judgment.

Side Missions are unlocked in Chapter 1, when you get the automatic story-related side mission with the skateboard. You need to hurry up to the Ebisu Pawn Shop and then kick some Yakuza to finish the quest. You can do them in both Ijincho and Kamurocho, and they can be done even after finishing the story. Neither mission is missable.

Note that the list below is ordered by the order in the Case File, Side Cases under the game menu (it's not chronological, but this format is easier to track when you want to check what you still miss at some point).

01 - Skateboard Detective vs The Reseller

Automatic mission in Chapter 1. You will get Blue Tribal skateboard as a reward. You need to hurry up to the Ebisu Pawn Shop and then kick some Yakuza to finish the quest.

02 - The Falling Man

Automatic mission in Chapter 3. Use your sound gadget on the map pin to locate the falling guy in the balcony above. Inspect his back when prompted to find suspicious object and defeat the guy to finish the mission.

You can start taking requests from Job Boards in town offices when you finish The Falling Man side case and return to the quest giver.

03 - The Cafee Robber

Can be started in Chapter 4, Kamurocho (day) on Tenkaichi St., opposite of Poppo store. Aproach the location to start the quest, and after the scenes open your Buzz app to filter by "robbery" and "Office Alone 4" terms. Head over to in front of Cafe Alps for a new scene. Examine the sign on the doors, and then examine the back of the sign. You will end up behing, where you need to open doors with your lockpick.

Inside, when you get the chance to walk, pick up a box from the floor and choose to wear that as a camuflage. You can now move only when the robber isn't looking at the box. When you get close you will get some new scenes and a chase part. Finish that to finish the quest. You will be rewarded with Extract Recipe: Smoke Bomb Tactic.

04 - Trying the Patience of a Saint

Can be started in Chapter 3, Ijincho (day). Go to Seiryo High School 3F Hallway to initiate the quest (and enjoy the funny scene). Afterwards, talk to Amasawa in the MRC room. Your next stop is Faculty Room on 2F. Talk to the professor and you need to find pranks on a door by going into the observation mode. You can find only one and continue, or you can find them all, it doesn't matter.

While inide, you can inspect the cushin on the chair and below the chair. Next scene is at the restroom where you can inspect the door again, and the sign above (it's pilled of a bit).

Last part is on 1F where you will again see some hillarious scenes, after which you need to win in a fight agains few students and the professor. He can be tough, make sure to heal and block properly. This finished the case.

05 - Where is the Time Capsule

Can be started in Chapter 3, Ijincho (night). Approach 3 guys talkin inside Seiryo High School Courtyard (right side). Now you need to go to the west side of the Courtyard where the case icon is and inspect the far-away ferris wheel in the distance, and the closed tree on that side besides the wall. Go back to 3 guys again and talk to them a few times. You need to find a girl, so go to Chinatown and just in front of the western taxi point there is a quest marker and the floor. Inspect it and inspect the woman in front to finish the quest.

06 - Where the Kappa Roam

Go towards N Sakura River St. west of Poppo store there to start the mission. Beat the guy with the statue. You need to find 7 Kappa Statues across the town now. The normal way is to search your Buzz app and filter by word "kappa", and follow the pointer, or you can just use the video to locate them all.

07 - The SRC’s Hunt for the Truth

Can be started in Chapter 3, Ijincho (night). Go to the entrance of Seiryo High School and talk to the group of people at entrance to initiate this quest. You will get "UFO" word for your Buzz app, so open it and filter by that keyword to find clues. First go to the empty lot behind Survive in the Bar District at night, and enter your Observation mode. Point the Ufo in the sky and examine it. Your next step can also be found by Buzz and by filtering with "UFO" word. Go to Hello Work on the 2nd floor and talk to the man there. Next location is at Fukutoku Park, which you can also find by searhing Buzz for "UFO". Go there, climb up the concrete cone and try to take a picture of a flying Ufo. If you point and zoom your camera to the ladders on the side, you can wait for the Ufo to be there and then take the picture.

Now, search Buzz again and go to Seiryo High, in the Courtyard. Talk to the group of people there and now you need to find the UFO on the top. Stand towards the middle of the passageway and examine the Ufo, and then take a picture. Chase it successfully to finish the quest. Long one.

08 - The Invisible Burglar

Move to Kamurocho and go to the Champions District (east on the map), inside the small cube area on the map and stand there to listen to conversation (there is an "..." icon there). You will learn new word "stalker". Check your map, go south towards the quest point and examine agove while in inspection mode to find a guy with binocullars.

Speak to the guy in front for few times until he invites you in. You will have to find some clues now. Use the Noise amp to check the celling, then inspect hand icon on that place, then again inspect the celling with Noise amp. Examine floor for the empty snack items, the bug bombs, and the fridge. Inspect the safe and the katana on the stand, and you will have to give some answers. Answer with "They’re still up in the attic",  then select "Roach Exterminator". After some scenes the quest is done. Reward is Extract Recipe: Provocateur.

09 - The Body Model Walks at Night!!!

Can be started in Chapter 3, Ijincho (night). Go to the entrance of Seiryo High School to initiate this quest. Go inside the school and into the 1F Hallway where you will find your target. Use the Noise Amp when you go up the floor to find your target in one of the classrooms there. Win at chasing sequence (avoid items and kick items to deplete health of your target) to finish the first part of the quest.

You can finish this by talking to that studen during day in Cafeteria.

10 - Dueling Dojos

Can be started in Chapter 6, Kamurocho (day). Inspect job board at Yagami Detective Agency when you have to go back to Ijincho for the story purposes. Meet with your friend inside M Side Cafe. Go into observation mode when you climb the stairs and look behind you, he hangs on the wall. This begins the quest and you will get ninja outfit.

Go towards your next objective and wear the ninja outfit before talking to the ninja there. The next events will be the chase, Darts (you will bet Beginner Dart, play Count Up 301 game which is the easiest and fastest), and lastly, group fight. Complete all of them to get next few scenes and thus finishing this quest. This is the only quest you get in Yagami Detective Agency here in Kamurocho. Rewards is Training Band equipment.

11 - The Forbidden Taste

Job Request in Yokohama 99 Office, Chapter 3, Ijincho (night). Go to the client at Meng We Restaurant in the Chinatown area, and talk to him inside. You now need to find 3 groups of people talking and stand next to them until Yagami comments about their conversation. They are all close from the client (east for 1 group, and about northeast for 2 groups, check the map for the location of blue folder with the quest name when you hover over it).

Return back to Joe (the client) and after scenes go towards the cat in front of you. Whatever you choose doesn't matter here. After the scenes you can now find cats at 2 location in this town. One is just next to where you had you last scene in Chinatown, the other is north from Sunrise Bridge taxi stop (southwestern part of the map). Just across the street to the north of that southern cat is Poppo Store where you can buy Cat Food (to raise Pawpularity faster). Talk to cats (the icons are shown on the map), call them whatever you want (but stick to that choice for them all) and ride taxi between 2 cats so you can interract with them and raise their Pawpularity bar to level 1 max. Without riding taxi you can talk to the cat once, so you need to reset that.

When you do all that, find the next quest marker and go there to finish the quest. As a reward you will get Skill Book: Book of the Ravenous.

12 - Paradise VR Unlocked!

Can be started in Chapter 3, Ijincho (night). Go to Hamakita Park Ave (Chinatown, north from the western taxi) to find your client (he is wearing gold clothes). Enter the building afterwards and win your first VR mini-game. It's quite easy as this serves as a tutorial. Just use Skills later to get extra steps and try to win challenges along the way. To finish the case you need Mugwort, which can be found on the ground around the city as a shining white pickup, or you can purchase it for 5000 Yen from the Flowers 2 Go truck in Hamakita Park. Hand over the item to finish the case and unlock brewing the extracts.

Go to Lullaby Mahjong building (3F), where you will find the client at the doors.

After the scenes, talk with everyone in the room, then go to the roof and talk to the last guy. You will be back downstairs. Next step is to find some clues. Call your dog through the Gadget app, sniff near the ashtray on the table, and near the opened window. Now, examine the stain and the hair outside of the window. Follow the dog to the roof, where you will find cat food at the end of the trail.

19 - Flight of the Game Creator

Can be started in Chapter 4, Ijincho (night). I found this on the board inside Yokohama 99 office after the A New Partner side case. Read the requirements and head over to Wette Kitchen to find the client upstairs. After the conversation make your way towards the Sakura River St. and enter the homeless camp nearby. Inspect the floor to start the investigation and examine the bearder guy at one of the ends of the camp. Now, call your dog over the Gadget menu and follow him to the parking lot where you will find the boss developer. Win in fight, and after some conversations the quest will be done. You will get Extract Recipe: Die Hard for this quest.

20 - A Particularly Hardcore Demo Event

Can be started in Chapter 4, Ijincho (night). Finish Flight of the Game Creator to unlock this on the board inside Yokohama 99 office. Read it in the office and navigate in front of the Paradise VR Building where the client is waiting. You will have to try their game, and it doesn't matter if you win or lose. Win the fight afterwards and the case is done (I really loved this one and the one before!).

This will unlock Detector gadget and future related side cases.

22 - Dastardly Detective: The Wandering Bug

This is a continuation for Dastardly Detective chain of quests. By finishing the last one (automatic story-mission), you now have the "noise" word for your Buzz app. Filter by that word and you will see some info around the block where Yagami has his agency in Ijincho (Yokohama 99). Take our your Detector gadget (this means you have to progress story further if you still don't have that gadget) and check around the block until you find a woman in a red shirt. She also attracts a stronger Detector signal, so you can track the device by walking where it points in green. When you find the woman, examine her and travel closely by for some scenes. Quest done

23 - Dastardly Detective: Grasping Attention

This is a continuation for Dastardly Detective chain of quests. Dastardly Detective: The Wandering Bug will update the noise word, so make your way where the Buzz points you. 26 - Dastardly Detective: Target – Seiryo High

This is a continuation for Dastardly Detective chain of quests. Dastardly Detective: The Eavesdropping Wallet will update the noise word, so make your way where the Buzz points you now. It's a door on the right side on the entrance of Seiryo High, from the outside.

This starts the other part, which is inside the school. You need to find 5 spy cameras inside the school. Start in the northwestern end on 1F cafeteria, bottom of the vending machine in the corner. Go to gymnasium, the big baskeball hall on the middle of 1F. Take out your Detector and follow the second signal to find another camera. Go to basement where the dancing team is and search some boxes inside the room with your Detector gadget. Next is 2F, west part, search lockers. And the final part is on 1F, MRC room. 29 - Dastardly Detective: The Final Night Flight

This is the next of the Dastardly Detective series of quests, right after Dastardly Detective: The Secret Ingredient. For this one you need "fleeing overnight" keyphrase, and I got mine during Chapter 10, when you need to Meet with Detective Watanabe in Chinatown. As you exit your office, you will get this word and you can also see the quest on the map. Travel to the Yokohama Blvd. Residental District taxi point, and find the client in the alley just southest from that point. Find power outlet on the floor with Detector, and then kick some thughs to finish the quest.

Go there to start the quest. Observe the squirell, then use your speaker gadget to pinpoint the sound from the lantern a bit to the right, upon a wall. This starts the squirell mural collecting and you get Skill Book: Superstitious Eater’s Guide as a reward.

32 - Big Squirrels Don’t Cry

After finding all 55 Squirrels, move to Ijincho and move to Fukutoku Park to start this quest. It's short and easy, find the last Squirrel on the concrete dome on the side, then use your Noise amp to find the point of interest at the top of that dome.

33 - Curse of the Amasawa Family Heirloom

Can be started in Chapter 6, Ijincho (evening). You will get automatic message from Amasawa during this chapter when you have to kill some time before continuing further. Visit MRC office in the school and talk to Amasawa to start the mission (you might trigger some other school story missions first, and might have to do them to a certain point to get the chance for this quest).

Visit Plage in the town (check the map for a list of locations to pinpoint it fast). After some scenes there, go to Ebisu Pawn and talk with the salesman there. Your next objective is to observe gas stains outside, and follow them north to find an empty bottle. You will now have to play 2 mini-games (Darts and Batting), after you need to exit through the rear door in the Batting Center and equip janitor clother from the menu.

Kick some ass, and inspect the middle and the head (eyes) on the cat afterwards to get more scenes, ask questions, and finish this long quest.

34 - My First Errand

Can be started in Chapter 13 (Final), Ijincho. Inspect job board at Yokohama 99 Office when you have to go to Genda Law Office, and the quest can be started. Go to Wette Kichen on 2F to start it. You will have to tail a little boy, so do that (you can just hide at the starr behing a block on the middle). Second part requires you to walk towards the boy when he is not looking behind, meaning you must stop when he starts turning. At the next scene with Yakuzas fill the metter as much as you want and confirm. Easy one. Your reward is Skill Book: Memoirs of an Eagle.

35 - Between Blood and Booze

You will unlock this one while going Girls' Club school story. During the first girl, Haruko, you will start the quest around the middle of filling her bar. When you reach max you will get some scenes, in which you need to pick some answers ("So, you were on a business trip today?", "Her’s throat’s in kinda rough shape. Bad cold, you know?", and "You must be really proud of your daughter."). That is it.

36 - Big Shame Hunter

You will unlock this one while going Girls' Club school story, after Random Fandom case. This one is tied to Miu when you reach her max bar. During scenes outside, use Detector to find bug device on her shoes. Chase off a dude, and you will return back to in front of the bar and case will be done.

37 - Random Fandom

You will unlock this one while going Girls' Club school story, after Between Blood and Booze case. This one is tied to Ayane when you reach her max bar. Find her near Ijincho station (in front, north side), talk to her and chase a boy. Afterwards enter the Girls' Bar once again to finish the case.

38 - Step By Step

This one gets unlocked when you complete Girls' Bar school story and max out first level with Emily afterwards. She is at the bar, you can play Darts with her or some other activity to do so. When you max the first level, go back to your agency and pass time, she will send you an sms, so go to Jinnai station taxi stop and start the quest. During date, examine her hair and say "It’s beautiful", her jacket and comment "I bet you get hit on often.", and her hands while saying "Your nails are super cute.". You will fill the date bar this way. After some scenes the quest will be over.

39 - Broken Barriers

This one gets unlocked after you complete Step By Step with Emily, and when you raise her level to 3. Again, pass the time to nighttime if you don't get an sms. When you do, read it and meat Emily at Jinnai Station again. On a date, inspect her like in the last quest (head, jacked, purse) and give her complements to fill the date bar. After some scenes you will be back to Girls' Bar, eventually finishing the case.

40 - We Mend, We Grow

This one gets unlocked after you complete Step By Step with Emily, and when you raise her level to 4. After that, exist Girls' Bar and walk around until she calls you. That will trigger this quest, so come to Jinnai Station again and talk to her there. After some scenes, you can choose to romance her, say yes to finish the quest and unlock the trophy.

41 - Takayuki Yagami: Evil Detective?

To unlock this side case, you must first finish all School Stories. Then you can start it by going in front of Yagami Detective Agency in Kamurocho. You will get "Yagami", "saw", "fraud", and "threaten" Buzz keywords (which would make it 16 by now, finishing TownGo mission for filtering by 16 Buzz terms). Filter by them to update the quest location, and go to the south entrance of the Champion District.

Talk to the old man in the Champion District, and you will be attacked by some grandpas. Put on a disguise and escape the area. Yagami will end up at Tender. After the officer leaves, speak with Jo. You will be back to Yagami Detective Agency where you need to observe some items (curry on the table, thrash on the floor etc.). When out on the streets, call Rando the gadget dog and let him guide you to your destination. Beat up Kasai, Sakakiba of the Neo Kaihen Gang to finish the side case.

42 - The Final Request ~Reprise~ (It’s time)

To unlock the final side case, you need to finish all other side cases, which includes finishing all school stories and well, all other side cases first. I would suggest making Warriors extracts, with these you can win easily, otherwise Amon is prone to healing and you will end up probably defeated after some time if you are not good with fighting and pulling of different EX Skills.

Pick up the quest from the Ijincho board inside Yokohama 99 agency, then move to Hamarita Park where you can start and hopefully finish the quest.
