Welcome, both you and the latest Fatal Frame! Well, Project Zero... The franchise is back, and we are here to try and help you! The platinum journey can be a bit tricky, but with this guide it should be easier to get there.

Step 1 - Beat the game on Normal while collecting all ghosts, glances, spectres, traces and upgrades
Each episode comes with mentioned collectibles. There are no saves, but checkpoints, which means you can restart a checkpoint if you miss something or miss glancing the host. First things first! Glance? Yes, you need to glance all ghosts, which means after you defeat a ghost, run close to him/her and use R2 to do a Fatal Glance. You need to do this for all ghosts that can be glanced.
You can repeat chapters, so it's easy if you miss something. Some chapters are longer, some shorter, but overal it's not a big deal replaying one as you will quickly learn where you need to go and what to do. You can do Fatal Frame (critial shots when a ghost is about to hit you - the camera blinks red) shots as much as you can, you need 100 for the trophy. You also need 100 Shutter changes (5 or more ghost part targets when you take the photo). 5 dodges when reaching an item is also needed (release the R2 when a ghost hand is about to reach your hand), 1 shot kill (Drop 4 - kill any of the Dolls), multiple shot kill (Drop 2, check out my collectibles video where I got this one) etc.
If you miss something, replay the chapter and when you collect it, play until the next Saving point, then you can quit and it will count. Replaying chapters also grants points which you can then spend on upgrading your camera. I suggest upgrading reload speed and multi-shot (Ren has the multi-shot skill) on both cameras first. Using the weakest unlimited film ammo will grant you the most points as it takes a lot to kill a ghost, which means multiple Fatal Frame shots which grants the most points. If you combine that with multi-shot or lens that gives you more points (Rewards Lens) = easy max rank.
For rank S+ (SS), you need good amount of points, but you don't need to focus on that on your first playthrough as you can get some upgrades and make this easier later. Start with chapter 7, I got my first Rank S+ there and on all chapters afterwards. The collectibles topic has the whole videos which you can use to see some tips.

Step 2 - Get all different endings
There are 2 endings with Yuri, 2 endings with Miu, and 4 endings with Ren. They all take place in the Final Drop (chapter 14), and you get them by doings certain parts of the chapter differently. You will have to play 4 times to unlock them all, as Ren has 4 endings.

Step 3 - Get Rank S+ (SS) on Normal, then on Nightmare difficutly on all stages
When you beat the game, you unlock Nightmare difficulty. By this time, you will collect all upgrades so far and upgrade your camera. I suggest upgrading reload speed and multi-shot (Ren has the multi-shot skill) on both cameras first. Using the weakest unlimited film ammo will grant you the most points as it takes a lot to kill a ghost, which means multiple Fatal Frame shots which grants the most points. If you combine that with multi-shot or lens that gives you more points = easy max rank.

Step 4 - Mop up if you still miss something
Combat trophies are really easy, you can replay chapters to easily get them if you still miss them.

Unlock all trophies to unlock this one.
Since you need to get rank S+ on both Normal and Nightmare difficulties, getting a lot of upgrade points will come along. You need to upgrade all Camera Upgrades with Yuri plus the lenses, and Camera with Ren. Repeating chapters helps, you can even quit the chapter after the game saves at some point.

Glancing means you need to touch the ghost with R2 after you defeat it. Not all ghosts can be glanced, and some can glanced on later chapters, so have that in mind. To complete the ghost list, you have to get the videos for all of the listed ghosts except Shiranui (defeat her during on of the endings with Ren), Shion (Doll 1, Doll 2 both get this unlock after beating Shiranui), and Tall Woman. Two ghosts, Kyozo Kururugi and Yukiho Tomine, perform a final attack after their health depletes; you need to take
one more picture of Kyozo to glance him. For one ghost, Shizuku Mikomori, you have to take a picture of her echo and then glance the flowers that she leaves. This happens during Final Drop (chapter 14) when playing with Yuri.

Ose is the final boss in the Last Drop (14th chapter) with Yuri. Simply switch to Type-07 Film (unlimited uses) and defeat her either in the water stage or above water using just that film. If you miss to do so, repeat the chapter (you need to anyway, for all endings).
Tained state is when your HP is being drained and the whole screen is in red. Usually Shrine Maidens can taint you, and when they do, you need to defeat one or more ghost while in that state. You can heal using the Sacred Water or Herbal Medicine, just aim to be fast and defeat the ghost fast. The best chapters are the early ones when you get stronger after beating the game.
One of the early, decent places I found was on Fourth Drop - Pool of Purification. You pick up the item from the ground and Ghosts - Inori & Emi Mikomori Dead will attack you in the water. If you shoot regular shots with Type-07 film, occasionally a purple orb can appear and float around a ghost. Let the ghost absorb it (just wait until it does) and then let that ghost hit you. You will become tainted. Now, kill those 2 ghosts there while tainted, run up to first save point and you can retry the chapter. Repeat until you get the trophy.
3:28 - Ghost #01-#02 Inori & Emi Mikomori Dead (good point to farm this trophy)
This should come naturally, but keep this in mind while you play. Shitter Chance is when you aim at at least 5 floating objects along with the ghost as a target. Your aim will go red and if you take the picture now you will take 1 Shutter Chance shot. Do this 100 times (I unlocked it in the first half of the game).

Fatal Frame is a critical hit that opens usually when a ghost is about to hit you or in certain states that the ghost is vulnerable in. You will know when to pull the trigger by the red blinking dot on your aim when using Camera Oscura. Do this 100 times (I unlocked it in the first half of the game).

After beating the game you will unlock First Thread. Beating that chapter unlock Second, Third and Last Thread. Finish them all to unlock this trophy. Chapter with Ayane are easy, just don't move to lose the ghost, or charge and take the picture of one to stun them. Run and reach the end goal. For Rank S+ you will have to pick up all items because without them you will not have enough points for rank S+ (she has her own camera).
This is easily done during Fourth Drop when you battle Shiranui or before her in Shrine of Dolls (3 hallways have the Doll ghost which you can 1-shot). During the fight with Shiranui she can summon Dolls, and you can 1-shot them then.
You can unlock this one at the start of the First Drop. When you start the tutorial to take pictures of your friend, take a picture of her head 10 times afterwards. Easy.
Type-00 Film is very rare during your playthrough. During Fourth Drop you can find one piece in the basement of Shrine of Dolls. You need to take Psychic photo using this film. Psychic moment is when you need to reveal something with your Camera using aim and changing the aligmenent of your picture area. When you get to the hanging corpse garden, make sure to have the film and use it on the hanging corpse where you need to take Psychic Photo.
27:10 - Unusual Usage Trophy
Every time you reach for an item/file, there is a chance that a ghost hand will grab you. You need to let go of R2 button at the moment when you see the hand to dodge the grab. Do it for 5 times to unlock the trophy.
Later episodes gives you 20+ Herbal Medicines at start. Just use the medicine 20 times to unlock the trophy and you can restart checkpoints afterwards to keep the herbs.
This is easily done during Fourth Drop when you battle Shiranui at the end of the chapter. During the fight she can summon Dolls, and you can 1-shot them easily. Align to catch multiple Dolls and take a picture. It can be also done basically anywhere, but this is easily done.
You will learn about Snap Mode (basically a Photo Mode in the game) during First Drop. Soon after the tutorial you will learn that you can use the Snap Mode by holding L1 + Square button. Do so to unlock the trophy.
