Star Ocean: The Second Story R - Private Actions

This topic serves as a list and a guide on how to activate all possible Private Actions with your party members. This becomes available when you recruit Rena (if you play with Claude), or vice-versa. Although it actually starts a bit earlier when you need to leave Aria Village for the first time - you can then go back to Aria Forrest and find Rena when you started the game and talk to her for the first limited PA.

There are limited PA's, which needs to be activated before reaching a certain point in the game, and there are other ones which needs some kind of pre-requisite like wathing other PA's with that characters before you can watch the other.

Doing PA's gives you different endings, and they increase your bond with the character which is participating in a PA. This means romance! 

List of Star Ocean: The Second Departure R Private Actions

1) Aria Village (Timed, missable) - Before leaving the Village to go to Salva, return to Aria Forrest and go to the starting point where you can talk with Rena (if you play as Claude)

2) Aria Village (Timed, missable, no pre-requisites) - When Rena joins your party, press  to enter PA mode when you're in a town. Find Rena next to her house and answer with the next choices depening of how you want the outcome to be:

• What happened in the past? - Affinity +1
• What were you like as a child? - Affinity -1
• You should focus more on the future. - Affinity +0 (Neutral)

3) Salva Village (Timed, missable, no pre-requisites) - Talk to Rena in Salva after she joins the party. She is a bit north from the southern entrance. After the scene in the spaceshop, make your way towards the exit in the ship for some more scenes and for this PA to end.
