God of War: Ragnarok - All Shield Locations

Shields are among your way weapons the most important part of the combat. There is a trophy connected to collecting all shields, so this topic will server as a list of them all, and how to get them. Crafting gets unlocked during story, so just play until you get it. It will happen when you visit dwarven brothers after first few hours in the game.

You need Slag Deposits to craft and upgrade a shield. They are very common in dungeons, inside red chests, so make sure to explore properly as you progress. There is not much to say, except listing all shields.

NOTE:

There are 6 Shield to be found, nothing is missable except maybe the Onslaught Shield. That last shield is not counted towards overal Helheim completion %, so I will mark this as missable, but you can buy from the blacksmith shop if you indeed miss it.

Stone Wall Shield

Craft in Brok's shop - the first shield craft is free, then you need 1 Slag Deposit for a new one. 

Dauntless Shield

Shatter Star Shield

Vanaheim - The Abandoned Village.

Legendary Chests 1/3 Collectible
Location: After learning about the first flower that you need to freeze to proceed, climb some chains and look on the right soon after. Shoot the flower with your axe to freeze it and then jump down without retracting your axe. Open the chest to get the shield.

Guardian Shield

Given to you by Brok after Asgard events with Atreus. When you play as Kratos and when you try to leave Sindri's House you will get this shield from Brok.

Onslaught Shield [Missable, but you can buy from blacksmith shop]

Niflheim, Docks of Vađgelmir. This one is inside the Legendary Chest after you defeat the giant wolf boss; before the rotating puzzle. Weird thing is that this one doesn't count towards area % when you look at the map, but the shield is needed for the trophy. If you forget to pick it up here, it will automatically be added to the blacksmith shop and you can buy it for 7500 Hacksilver from there.
