Few things to note here... For The Maiden & The Unwavering One Altarpieces you will need Ruega and Sarmiento weapons. When you reach the NPC, equip The Maiden and keep fighting until it breaks. Go back to NPC, he will repair it. Do this 3 times to get another altapriece.
The initial Procession of Shadows NPC location is this location, but if you ride from here, and from Profundo Lamento after that (this means you will have to find two Forgotten Tributes) - the second ride will transfer you to this area, but in the area you can't reach otherwise. If you have the third Forgotten Tribute item you can ride from here to the last location that this NPC can take you - The Sewered Tower.
You will need almost all abilities to reach all secrets and items here, so for sure you will backtrack here at some point.
