Tales of Arise - Skills Guide

There is 450 Skills to learn, and you will need 400 to unlock all skill-related trophies. Each skill panel consists of 6 skills, and only unlockable skills count for the trophy.

The Skill panels are unlocked by doing specific actions in the game, so you need to think about them too. SP is obtained automatically for every battle you win. Some Skill panels are also unlocked by doing the side quests.

Alphen

• Iron Mask: Automatically unlocked during main story.
• Rebellious Spark: Automatically unlocked during main story.
• Blazing Sword: Automatically unlocked during main story.
• Emissary of Liberation: Automatically unlocked during main story.
• Another Day, Another Wall: After cooking at campfires, you will sometimes get an optional dialogue prompt where you can choose to spend extra time with a companion to improve your bond with them. You know it's the real deal if you see "..." white icon next to an ally name. When you do this for the first time, you will unlock this Skill tree
• Blazing Blow: use 35 Boost Attack downs. You use it by pressing the D-pad button for Alphen when he fills the bar.
• Comrades in Freedom: Automatically unlocked during main story.
• Arms Collector: 10 Weapon Types forged. Forge 10 weapons by talking to merchants, or blacksmits in Inns.
• Undefeated Swordsman: Clear Novice solo training grounds challenge with Alphen
• Infernal Tongue: Cooked Roasted Chicken Meal. You get it by completing the "City Renewal" quest.
• The Power of a Sovereign: Automatically unlocked during main story.
• Unrelenting Blaze: Automatically unlocked during main story.
• Arms Sommelier: Forged Atonement Edge weapon for Alphen.
• Vanquisher of the Four Lights: You must defeat Meneiys, Grand Gnome, Procella Sylph, and Luo Undine side-bosses.

• Enlightening Bond: After cooking at campfires, you will sometimes get an optional dialogue prompt where you can choose to spend extra time with a companion to improve your bond with them. You know it's the real deal if you see "..." white icon next to an ally name. When you max out a bond with one character, you will unlock this Skill tree.

Shionne

• Escape Artist: Automatically unlocked during main story.
• Speedy Chef: Unlocked for cooking 1 Meal (Automatically unlocked during main story).
• Bottomless Stomach: Unlocked for cooking 8 Meals (just cook meals at campfire).
• Sniper: 20 Aerial enemies downed by Boost Attacks. When you unlock Boost attacks (soon in the game), you need to use Shionne's Boost attack on flying enemies 20 times. She will stagger them, and you need that 20 times to unlock this Skill.
• Bombshell: 50 Bombs exploded with special ammo. Shionne has 3 bomb-throwing artes "Ignis Celestra", "Tonitus Celestra", and "Luke Celestra". After throwing the bombs, she must shoot them to make them explode. Make sure those skills are enabled for Shionne, and when AI is controlling her, you will for sure unlock this one quite soon.
• Thorny Woman: Automatically unlocked during main story.
• Chic: 4 Accessories Forged. You need to forge 4 accessories, which can be done in Inns when you unlock Accessory crafting, or by talking to merchant next to campfires.
• Loose Cannon: Automatically unlocked during main story.
• Goddess of Kindness: 12 NPCs saved. You must heal 12 NPC's after unlocking field skill healing.

• Latest Maiden: Automatically unlocked during main story.
• Healer: Cleared Sub-Quest "A Healer and her Patients". You can find details about all quest in side-quest topic.
• Fashionista: Forged Accessory Mystic Crest. Mystic Crest is a reward from winning Shionne’s Solo Battle Advanced Arena Challenge (Level 40 challenge) at Training Grounds in Menancia region, Viscint, Training Grounds. You can now craft Mystic Crest. Details about arena and full guide can be find in Arena topic.
• Insect Deposer: Cleared Sub-Quest "Her Place". You can find details about all quest in side-quest topic.
• Love Chef: Uncovered the ultimate ingredient. Unlock the Shionne Pancakes Recipe (check details in recipes topic), and then go to campfire to unlock a scene and this Skill for Shionne.
• Explosive Gunslinger: Cleared Sub-Quest "Skybound Swarm". You can find details about all quest in side-quest topic.

Rinwell

• Dahnan Mage: Starting Skill.
• Birdie Bestie: Cleared Sub-Quest "The Owl Forest". You can find details about all quest in side-quest topic.
• Silver Sword: Automatically unlocked during main story.
• Spell Canceller: 6 Arte Castings Stopped by Boost Attacks. Rinwell's Boost attacks works the best against spelling-cast-type enemies. When you see the blue circle on them, it means they are trying to cast. While that is active, use Rinwell's Boost attack. Do it for 6 times.
• Item Scholar: 15% Items Collected. There are 500 Items in the game, which means 75 is what you need for this Skill. You can check progress in you Menu, Field Guide, Play Records, Items Found.
• Unbeatable Mage: Novice solo training grounds cleared. Reward for winning her Novice Solo Arena Challenge at Training Grounds in Menancia region, Viscint, Training Grounds. Details about arena and full guide can be find in Arena topic.
• Retired Avenger: Automatically unlocked during main story.
• Attuned Mage: Automatically unlocked during main story.
• Lightning Princess: Cleared Sub-Quest "Master of Nature". You can find details about all quest in side-quest topic.
• Feathered Friend: 80% Owls Met (which is 31/38). You can find details about all owls in Owls topic.
• Torrential Mage: Cleared Sub-Quest "Untamable Rage". You can find details about all quest in side-quest topic.
• Item Professor: 50% Items Collected. There are 500 Items in the game, which means 250 is what you need for this Skill. You can check progress in you Menu, Field Guide, Play Records, Items Found.
• Bibliophile: Cleared Sub-Quest "Bibliophile". You can find details about all quest in side-quest topic.
• Sugar Connoisseur: Cooked Ice Cream meal (check details in recipes topic).
• Gusty Girl: Cleared Sub-Quest "Seaside Tornadoes". You can find details about all quest in side-quest topic.

Law

• Mournful Son: Starting Skill.
• Snake Eye Turncoat: Starting Skill.
• Prince of Iron Fists: Perform 3 Boost Attacks. Simply use his Boost Attack 3 times.
• ???: Break 40 armored enemies with boost attack. It seems only human-type of enemies counts for this one. You can get this one by using Law's Boost Attack on armored knight enemies during the game, which should happen naturaly if you use Law in fights.
• Growing Boy: Cooked 7 Meals. Just cook 7 meals on campfires.
• Calves of Steel: Reached 700 Leg Strike Proficiency. You can enable only Leg Artes for Law and raise his proficiency with accessories over time. This should happen naturaly even if you don't control Law, probably a bit later when you boost the required perk.
• Silver Wolf Reawakened: Cleared Sub-Quest "Refreshing Roughhousing", which is actualy mandatory during the "Through the Greenery" main quest. 
• Caretaker: Sub-quest cleared "Pharia Ranch". You can find details about all quest in side-quest topic.
• Unbreakable Fists: Novice solo training grounds cleared. Reward for winning his Novice Solo Arena Challenge at Training Grounds in Menancia region, Viscint, Training Grounds. Details about arena and full guide can be find in Arena topic.
• Bounty Hunter: Sub-quest cleared "Claiming a Bounty" You can find details about all quest in side-quest topic.
• Intervener: Automatically unlocked during main story.
• Bumbling Fighter Extraordinaire: Automatically unlocked during main story.
• Friend to the Animals: Raised every type of animal. Finish "Pharia Ranch" quest first, and then keep raising animals during the game. Eventually you will unlock more slots and more animals (rappig being the last one). You can do this by talking to merchant next to the campfires.
• Torch Bearer: Sub-quest cleared "Mixed Feelings". You can find details about all quest in side-quest topic.
• Space Champion: Sub-quest cleared "An Ambition Fulfilled". You can find details about all quest in side-quest topic.

Dohalim

• Architect of Coexistence: Starting Skill.
• Former Lord: Starting Skill.
• Dilettante: Starting Skill.
• Undefeated Lord: Novice solo training grounds cleared. Reward for winning his Novice Solo Arena Challenge at Training Grounds in Menancia region, Viscint, Training Grounds. Details about arena and full guide can be find in Arena topic.
• Ivy Master: 10 Fleet-footed enemies nullified by Boost Attacks. Those are wolfs, and other enemies that can dodge your attacks. You need to use Dohalim's Boost attack on them to make it count for this Skill (use it 10 times on 10 enemies).
• Eternal Protector: Sub-Quest cleared"Dohalim, Big Game Hunter". You can find details about all quest in side-quest topic.
• Treasure Hunter: Automatically unlocked during main story.
• Antique Collector: Acquire 8 Artifacts Types. You can find details all all artifacts in Artifacts topic.
• Dark Sorcerer: 600 Demon Strike Proficiency. You can put Dohalim in your party and change his strategy to be an attacking member instead of support member. AI will take care of this one for you, just keep on using him in battles.
• Patron Lord: Sub-quest cleared "Owl Sanctuary". You can find details about all quest in side-quest topic.
• Fateful Matchmaker: Sub-quest cleared "Missing Lover". You can find details about all quest in side-quest topic.
• Transcendent Matchmaker: Sub-quest cleared: "Their Future".  You can find details about all quest in side-quest topic.
• Rare Food Connoisseur: Cooked meal "Grilled Rappig" (check details in recipes topic).
• Renan Leader: Automatically unlocked during main story.
• Drinking Buddy: Max out your relationship with Dohalim. Bond events are the ones with "..." icon on campfires after you cook (or you say you don't want to). Over time (every few hours and as you progress through the story) you can choose new event with a desired character. Max it out with Dohalim to unlock his last Skill.

Kisara

• Captain Kisara: Starting Skill.
• Devout Sister: Starting Skill.
• Unbreakable Wall: 1 Charging Enemies Stopped by Boost Attacks - you will unlock it automaticaly during her training fight when they explain her Boost Attack.
• Skilled Angler: Automatically unlocked during main story.
• Idealist: Automatically unlocked during main story.
• Unblemished Fighter: Novice solo training grounds cleared. Reward for winning her Novice Solo Arena Challenge at Training Grounds in Menancia region, Viscint, Training Grounds. Details about arena and full guide can be find in Arena topic.
• All-Pulverizing Hammer: 600 Power Strike proficiency. You can put Kisara in your party and change her strategy to be an attacking member instead of support member. AI will take care of this one for you, just keep on using her in battles.
• Chief Chef: 5 Favorite Meals cooked. Cook dishes with Kisara (you will see when you look at the list when cooking on campfires).
• Rock Buster Shield: Cleared Sub-Quest "Walking Crag". You can find details about all quest in side-quest topic.
• Heartfelt Shield: Automatically unlocked during main story.
• Indomitable Golden Lion: Advanced solo training grounds cleared. Reward for winning her Advanced Solo Arena Challenge at Training Grounds in Menancia region, Viscint, Training Grounds. Details about arena and full guide can be find in Arena topic.
• Migalpedia: Cleared Sub-Quest "An Eternal Rivalry". You can find details about all quest in side-quest topic.
